After a crazy term, we have made it Greens!
Well the end is here. After a school move, a dedication, may day, the fayre, trips etc we are about to crawl over the finishing line of our first year in the juniors!
Wednesday will be our first sports day at the new school. Let us hope for sunny weather. We will compete in our houses in the morning at field events and then in the afternoon we will do our track events hopefully cheered on by lots of parents and family!
Thursday will be our final English and Maths lessons as we write to the companies that we have collected data for in maths. We tested chocolate, crisps and apples in blind taste tests and then made graphs and charts for them and analysed the data. We are now going to write to the companies with our findings. Will we get any freebies...watch this space! In the afternoon, I am going to see my own son leave his primary school at his church leavers service so the children will be in the capable hands of Mrs Underdown and Mrs Wilde. A movie and popcorn may make an appearance as the children have worked so hard this term!
Friday will be a day of goodbyes to year 6 as watch their leavers assembly, a celebration as we watch the awards in celebration assembly and clearing up and moving out of our Green class. The children do not have far to move and Mr Miller will be there to guide them in to the new routines. I will look forward to seeing you all still Green Class as your wander past my classroom each morning.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents and children for making the transition to our new build fairly successful! To me it felt like home as the old place was only my home for a year and a half but I know some really struggled with the change. However, it seems now they have all embraced the new place and thank you to you, as parents, they are very well adjusted to all that has changed for them recently.
I wish you all a fantastic summer, let us hope for some lovely weather. Have a restful break and enjoy moving on up to Blue Class!
