The end of last term culminated in a fantastic May Day celebration - the rain held off and everyone had a lovely afternoon. The school field looked lovely, decorated with colourful flowers made by the children and our Mystic Rose procession and all of the dancing went very well indeed. WELL DONE TO EVERYONE - YOU ALL DID BRILLIANTLY!
This week is SCIENCE WEEK and there are lots of fun activities planned for the whole school. Our Year 6's will be demonstrating experiments to our KS1 children. We will be visited by scientists from Walderslade Girls School - they will be performing experiments and telling the children all about chemical reactions. We will be learning all about owls on Friday and watching some fly too. As well as all of the above we will be having a 'Science Fair' for everyone to visit on Friday afternoon.
We are so lucky to have our huge outdoor areas and the children will be having fun during our break and lunch times playing with new playground equipment. We have been making the most of the improvement in the weather and are certainly looking forward to more sunny days as the summer approaches.
Our Key Stage 2 children are looking forward to our school production, Matilda - both pupils and teachers have been working very hard in order to hone the performances which will be at the end of the month.
