The weather has finally changed for the better and preparations for the annual Tunstall May Day celebrations are well under way.
This year, to alleviate any parking issues the playground gates will be opened allowing cars to park on the bottom of the lower field. Obviously, we ask that care be taken when entering and leaving the school grounds. The celebrations will be on the top area with a clearly defined area for parents. For safeguarding reasons, the parents will not be able to sit in the same areas as the children.
The children have been practising both their dances and the Mystic Rose, which always looks spectacular as the children process in their own clothes and carry posies and May sticks. Mrs Hutchings’ last one, so let’s make this one special!
The Reception classes enjoyed their first school trip to Wingham wildlife park last week. They had a fantastic time, well done to Miss Brown and Miss Miles for organising a safe and very successful trip.
Last week, we once again held two Open afternoons which were well attended.
Teams from KS 2 will represent Tunstall at the Hockey Quicksticks tournament this week and we wish both teams the best of luck.
Wishing everybody a good holiday. Don’t forget it’s a Staff Development Day on Monday 4th June.
