Although we are still doing revision in some morning lessons, our afternoons are filled with the usual subjects: Science, PE, DT, History, Art.....
In English our focus is split between SATs' practice (reading, grammar, punctuation and spelling) and writing, which is teacher assessed so not formally tested. We are continuing with our bonus chapter of There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom - with Bradley and his friends on a school trip that doesn't quite go to plan. Our story build-up is nearly complete, so now it is on to the main action then resolution. So far the chapters are looking good - even Louis Sachar would be impressed.
The weather last week (and the skateboard workshops) put paid to much Maypole practice, but we managed one session which went fairly well. Hopefully this week we can squeeze a couple of practices in, as long as the weather is on our side. There is much chatter about who will be the May Queen/Princesses and Prince. Once SATs are over, the class will decide with a class vote.
Soon we can move on to our enterprise projects, but until then we'll be brushing up on prepositions, subordinate clauses and adverbials to name just a few.
