Week beginning Monday 26th March 2018
A term full of snow days, students and potential new headteachers has come to an end! We move into the Summer term, yay...but that does mean May Day practices galore!
This week we will be practising our Easter Service...well starting it, practising and finishing it. I had not at all forgotten that we only had 4 days left in which to do a service! We will look forward to seeing you all on Thursday afternoon at the church. Please also remember that children will be released from 2.45pm whether you are at the church service or not - the gate will be opened early and we will keep a beady eye out from our classroom for you early arrival. There will be no clubs after school (apart from the 'official' After School Club)
We will try and keep some lessons normal and continue with statistics in maths where the children will be collating data and displaying it in pictograms, tally, bar and blocks charts.
We also have to squeeze in a spelling assessment so the new spelling groups can be sorted out over the Easter break.
Our science lesson on Bones will need to be carried over to term 5 as we have another WOW science afternoon on Tuesday - this links in nicely to a bit of DT. The children came home with a note last week to say they needed lots of packaging materials. Their WOW science may not work without it so please send them in with some resources on Monday or Tuesday - we (the children) will let you know all about it after the event as we do not want the WOW of it to disappear before the event!
Wednesday afternoon will be a change from PE and Art as we begin to construct our photo frames; these will be continued on Thursday Morning and hopefully gift wrapped in time for Easter - probably with the glue and paint still being wet given the speed of some children!
RE sees us putting Rev Alan on the spot - we will be asking the Vicar questions about rules and Christianity so Reverend Alan will be joining us on Monday morning and English will be switched to the afternoon.
We may have to carry our last lesson of Crime and Punishment over to next term too as we will obviously be in church for our usual history slot.
Congratulations to Adam who, after only a couple of weeks with us, was our pupil of the week last week. This week it is shared by Sienna and Lowri - well done girls! Our merit award went to Jack and for 2 weeks on the trot, our table winners are Yellow table!
Thank you all for another fantastic term and I wish you all a fantastic Easter Holiday filled with much rest and chocolate :)
Don't forget...2.45pm finish on Thursday!
