Week commencing Monday 26th February
Firstly congratulations to Myles for our award in assembly, Lucy for being our pupil of the week and Yellow were our table winners. Four pen licenses were awarded to Sam, Sienna, Callum and Freddie...I will be watching you guys though as I know you have been trying really hard to get your pens so do not let your writing slip back now you have them!
This week sees the end of our Krindlekrax topic with an assessed independent writing task. We then move on to recounts and all the grammar associated with them.
We also end time...finally! We look at the 24 hour clock and some more time intervals.
We started our Crime and Punishment topic in History which spurred Mr McRae into building a jail cell in the back of the classroom, not sure who he will throw in their first!
We missed a few weeks of PE last term as the hall was out of action for various reasons so we will be catching up with our gym using equipment before we move on to dance.
We started our Animals including Humans topic with some fantastic questions that the children would like to find out during our topic.
We also started thinking about photograph frames in DT. We will research them for another week before moving on to planning and building them.
RE is thinking about The Ten Commandments and how we can use these to help us in the modern day.
It's going to be a cold week so please ensure your children have coats, hats and gloves as some teachers like to get them out for play whatever the weather!
