Week beginning 15th January
Our learning in English, based on The Hole by Oyvind Torseter, reaches its final week where we will plan and write our own sequel or continuation of the original. It is still fractions and decimals in maths, this week starts with some more practice of relating fractions to decimals before moving onto comparing and simplifying fractions and decimals.
In Science, our States of Matter learning moves onto viscosity, where we will be investigating if liquids flow at different rates. Geography and art are closely linked by the theme of water this term, with rivers in geography and the works of Monet in art.
Letters went home last week to those children in the next swimming group, which starts on Friday. Letters also were given out to children who were interested in applying to be lunchtime helpers. Please make sure these are returned promptly.
Congratulations to Franklin who received our behaviour award last week and to Ethan who received it the week before.
