Week beginning Monday 4th December 2017
What a great start to the Christmas antics with the Christmas Gift Room run by the PTA. The children were very excited to buy you all gifts. If you forgot to send them in with money, they still enjoyed shopping for you and the gifts are all waiting in the office for you to pay and collect (notes in contact books).
We started construction of our Moving Monsters and everyone that passed by Green Class drew a sharp intake of breath at the bomb site, however, 6 minutes later it was back to looking fantastically clean and tidy again! Thank you for all your junk for modelling but we definitely do not need anymore!
Next Friday Green Class will be joining Blue Class to walk down to the Christmas Tree Festival at Tunstall Church. Scattered throughout the week will also be choral Christmas practise - it is Green Class's first go at this so they are pretty excited.
'Normal' lesson continue with looking at stories written through letters in English which will see the children writing their own letters with 2 points of view. If anyone has any Santa hats please could you send in to school on Monday for our English lesson (role play), they will come back home the same day. Thank you.
Maths continues with measurements and we get a little more constructing as we make Stone Age Weapons in History.
Congratulations to Maxwell for winning our merit award in assembly. Harriet was our pupil of the week and Green table won our table of the week. Hollie won the raffle for our focus this week which was being quiet and ready to learn at the start of each lesson. Green Class also won the attendance award for this term so we will have a non uniform day at some point - check your parentmail for details.
It was great to see you all at parents evening and thank you for having such fantastic children!
