Week beginning Monday 13th November 2017
We've had a very busy week. We've been Archaeologists, finding allsorts of rock varieties in the school grounds. We've been cavemen painting our cave paintings in the dark and upside down (photos to follow) and we've been children!
Next week is slightly different as the children have Thursday off. We will finish our instructions topic in English with our Independent Writing task on Wednesday. Then we will start on persuasive language - just in time for the children to learn lots of new persuasive language for their Christmas list!
In maths we move off the 3 and 4 times tables and on to the 8s! Some of the children have been doubling their 4 times table this week to get used to the numbers they will encounter in the 8s.
We've had no junk yet for our moving monsters in DT, please do send in boxes etc otherwise our moving monsters will not be able to happen. My family seem to produce a mass of recycling but even my lot would be hard pushed to produce enough to provide modelling items for 30 children!
Don't forget Children in Need day on Friday - Spots/PJs! There are Open Mornings on Tuesday and Wednesday for prospective new parents for next September and again, remember Thursday is a well earned rest day.
Congratulations to Callum who won our Merit Award in assembly, a fantastic turnaround in attitude and behaviour. Our class pupil of the week was Harriet and our table winners were White Table.
Have a lovely weekend.
