Welcome back Green Class.
I hope you had a fantastic week, what a shame the weather wasn't kinder to us. However, our school trip to Rye on Tuesday is set to be warm and sunny so make sure you have plenty with you to drink and a sun hat, and because of the Great British Weather, I suggest you bring a rain coat too. The end of term 5 was pretty crazy with the dedication ceremony and May day. I have to say, I was really proud of all of you, as when it mattered, you were superb with your May dance and not one of you put a foot wrong. Give yourself a pat on the back!
With the last week of term being so busy, we have to spend the first week of term 6 just catching up with our English and Maths. We will finish the Iron Man by writing persuasive letters and looking at language used in persuasive writing. Don't forget to bring your parents in and show them our fantastic Iron Man who stands very proudly in the hall.
Maths will look at time in the first week of term - boooooooooo I hear you all say, but time is a really important thing to get right!
Geography moves on to comparing two towns in the UK where we will look at Rye v Sittingbourne.
We are really lucky and have a professional tennis coach in with us for outdoor PE this term but it does mean we need to switch our PE to Monday afternoons. Please make sure you have your PE kit AND trainers with you from the first day back.
Term 6 means a lot of hard work as you get ready to move up in to Year 4. Let's really try and work hard on our listening and behaviour and really show Mr Miller what a fantastic class you can be.
Thank you to all parents who attended May Day, I am sure you are as proud of the class as I am. There was an entire boys school uniform left behind and none of it was named, so if you are missing something, it may now be in the lost property. Please have a rummage when we return to school.
Congratulations to Leean and Emma who jointly won pupil of the week, to Green Group for the winning table and to Ben for the merit award in assembly.
