Week beginning 9th October
We hope you enjoyed the opportunity to come in and celebrate your child’s learning last week, giving them the chance to read their fantastic stories to an audience. You get another chance to see what’s happening in the class this Tuesday or Thursday, as we invite you to our open afternoons. On Tuesday, you could experience the children recording the results of our science experiment, trying to find out what effect different liquids have on egg shells. If that is not to your taste, then Thursday will be maths, where we will be adding and subtracting. We’re sure that all the timings are elsewhere on the site, but we will be expecting you from 2:30 until 3:10, dismissing the children at the usual time.
In our other learning, English continues with Myths. This week, we study their themes, such as quests or rags to riches and will focus our grammar learning on speech marks. We are still looking at Boudicca in history, with hopefully a knowledge boost from this week’s home learning. I have also sent home the words to our harvest song and would appreciate your help with memorising them.
Congratulations to Jason who received our behaviour award for last week.
