Week beginning 3rd July
With music events dominating the week, please make sure you know the where’s and when’s.
They start on Monday, when we are performing in The Sound of Swale concert at Fulston Manor School. You have all been informed of the arrangements, but just a reminder to make sure your child has a packed lunch, and that you are aware of the new timing (approx. 5pm) and arrangements for collecting your child. Before leaving, we will have our informal class auditions for the spoken English event.
On Tuesday, thanks to the PTA arranging the ice cream sales, we have a science workshop first thing and, later in the day, the instrumentalists performing in Friday’s concert will be having a rehearsal.
Friday is the school concert, the details of which you have been given, and we hope both you and the children enjoy the event.
Shoe horned in-between these events will be as much ‘normal’ learning as possible. Our English learning will continue to be nonsense, with some spelling and grammar learning thrown in, while the revision in maths will be decimals and fractions. Our art learning is progressing well, this week our famous building is Taj Mahal, and in science, we look at the local habitats and changes that may have occurred since the school has been built.
In a week with some interesting choices of behaviour from both boys and girls, our behaviour award last week went to Ryan.
