Week beginning Monday 5th June 2017
We've made it Team Green to the last term of Year 3.
This term we will be covering most of the topics again in Maths just to ensure we are all secure on the methods we should be using. The tests that were completed at the end of Term 5 will be the basis for ensuring that we cover misconceptions or errors that occurred in the maths tests.
English: on Monday we will create the rockets that were designed at the end of Term 5. We can finally send Moon Man back to the moon as I am not sure that he really liked it here on earth. We will also be writing a set of instructions using imperative verbs of how we created our rockets. From Tuesday onwards we will be looking at clip of The Robot Dog and creating writing from this.
Geography moves on to Comparison between Two Towns (Canterbury and Sittingbourne). We will be going on our trip to Canterbury next week to help with this learning.
Science moves on to plants, the summer term is always good for this topic as there is so much more to see outside!
PE will continue to be on Thursday and Friday so please ensure that PE kit is in school on these days - hopefully most of PE will be outside now that we have our wonderful new fields to use!
In Art we are looking at the sculpture Anthony Gormley and hopefully we will build a Tunstall version of The Angel of the North! Any budding carpenters that could help us out would be gratefully received!
Please make sure photo money and slips for the recorder festival are returned asap.
