Week beginning Monday 15th May 2017
Not long now until May Day, the children are busy practising their dance moves. We just need to keep our fingers crossed for sunshine!
Thank you to the adult helpers that came to the Living Land Show at The Detling Showground. It was chilly but the children were fantastically behaved, well done Green Class.
This week is the last week of The Moon Man as the children prepare and design a rocket for him to return to the moon and write persuasive arguments of which rocket is best! They will also be having a 'for' and 'against' debate to find out if he was right or wrong!
Maths moves off angles and on to lines; perpendicular and parallel, vertical, diaganol and horizontal. Finishing with using different 2d shapes to make 3d shapes and discussing the properties of these shapes.
We will be looking at The Olympics in our Ancient Greek topic; measuring our pulse rates in Science and as previously mentioned, May Day dance and cricket in PE.
We look forward to seeing you at our open afternoons on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday will be Science and Wednesday will be Music with Mrs Julier.
We have not had any newspaper brought in yet for our Greek Vases, so please get reading and let us have any used newspaper.
Mrs Black and Mrs Tollervey.
