Week beginning 8th May
Looking back at last week, we had a very successful visit to The Living Land at Detling, photographs (or should they be called images?)of which are in the gallery. The event staff, that were guiding us around the activities, were very complementary of the children’s behaviour and politeness, so well done everyone and a big thank you to all the helpers, both staff and volunteers, who braved the elements to give your children some fantastic experiences on what was a rather cold, damp and busy day.
Mad as it may seem, but this week we reach the midpoint of the term, but at least there are few, if any, interruptions to get in the way of our learning this week. We are still looking at the author David Walliams, but turn our focus onto Billionaire Boy this week as we cover possessive apostrophes along with building sentences and refining our comprehension skills.
In maths we will look at both perimeter and area, while in science, which temporarily moves to Wednesday this week, after spending the last few weeks looking at how sound travels to our ears, we will look at how to stop it doing that, namely soundproofing.
We missed out on geography last week, so will try to squeeze in double this week, and we welcome again James Sutton to assist us on Monday with our PE learning.
Lastly, congratulations to Jack, who received our behaviour award last week.
