Week Beginning April 18th 2017
Here's hoping that you are all reading this, as always and therefore you have remembered that school returns on Wednesday 20th April, a couple of extra lie-ins after the Easter weekend.
We have made it to the summer term and as always Terms 5 and 6 are busy ones!
This term English will start by looking at the Book Moon Man and linking lots of our literacy skills to this text. We will then be moving on to poetry.
Maths starts with measurements looking at length, mass and capacity and converting and adding/subtracting lots of different things that we have measured, weighed and poured!
Science continues with our Animals including Humans topic where we will soon be seeing if our muscle size really does make a difference to our performance.
Geography moves on to Comparisons of two British Towns. Here we will compare Sittingbourne and Rye. We always have a great trip to Rye so check book bags for the letter which will shortly be coming home about this trip. We also have our annual trip to Detling on May 4th.
PE will be on a Thursday and a Friday this term so please ensure indoor and outdoor kit is always in school. One lesson will be dance....May Day is looming.
RE moves on to Judaism.
Music, with Mrs Julier, will continue practising our recorders ready for the recorder festival which is always a fantastic event.
Mrs Tollervey and I hope you have all had a wonderful Easter break and we look forward to seeing you all back in a few days. As always, please pop a note in the contact book or catch us at the end of the day if you have any issues, ideas or just want a chat!
