It was lovely to see everyone again after half term. We are already enjoying getting stuck into our new topics, particularly learning all about plants in Science.
This week we will be moving on from multiplication (as repeated addition) to division in Maths. We will be sharing out equal amounts of different quantities practically and with arrays and then learn how to record them. We will also be using our known number facts (halves, doubles, counting in 2s, 5s and 10s) to help with this.
In English we will be finishing our work on London through poetry. Orange classes will be learning 'Buckingham Palace' by AA Milne and having a go at writing their own lines of poetry in the same style.
We will be continuing to learn about the countries that make up the United Kingdom in Geography and plants in Science and will be finding out about the parts of a kite in DT. In RE we will be looking at stories from the Old Testament, starting this week with the story of Noah. Plus in Computing we will be starting the design of our Easter Cards.
All of this plus it is World Book Day on Thursday - looking forwards to seeing your costumes!
Don't forget it is Shrove Tuesday this week. What will your Lenten promise be?
