Coming up this term...
First of all Mrs Jenkins and I would like to say a huge thank you for all our festive cards, gifts and wishes from you all. You are very generous and thoughtful. I am still singing the songs in my sleep, so I hope you all enjoyed our class Nativity and look forward to watching it on DVD if you ordered a copy.
Coming up over the next few week...
During English lessons we will be looking at non-fiction texts and helping Paddington Bear visit and explore our capital city - London.
Our maths lessons will revise and explore multiplication, division, shape, money and fractions.
Mrs Jenkins will be guiding our Yellows through aspects of the Christian Church and Baptism in RE and The Great Fire of London in History on Wednesday mornings.
Our science lessons will enlighten us about the uses of different materials while our art lessons look at painting with colour and texture through Impressionism.
PE will be both indoor and outdoor (weather permitting) exploring multi-skills and bat and ball skills.
A few reminders...
Don't forget to bring a warm coat in everyday! Plus scarves and gloves if you've got them. On the topic of warm clothing, some PE lessons will take place outside (when the weather allows) so please ensure your child has a named sports jumper in their PE kit.
Through your child's contact book please continue to let us know when your child has read their current book, so that we can keep changing them and further expanding their reading enthusiasm and enjoyment.
Happy New Year! Here's to a joyful and successful 2017 in Yellow Class!
